The International Framework for Nuclear Energy Cooperation (IFNEC) will host its first Ministerial Conference since the COVID-19 pandemic on 1-3 November 2023. Organised in cooperation with the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission, the Conference will take place in Accra, Ghana.
Many African governments envision nuclear energy as a key element in their future energy strategies to address climate change and energy security challenges. The IFNEC Ministerial Conference will bring together high level officials, nuclear industry representatives and key stakeholders to discuss regional and international co-operation and policies needed to advance nuclear energy programmes. Conference sessions will address the nuclear financing, regulatory, human resource development, supply chain development, mapping and project development aspects.

The Conference will take place at Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana. The hotel is 10 minutes’ drive to the Kotoka International Airport and 15 minutes drive to the Central Business District.

All visitors to Ghana must possess a valid passport and a valid visa/entry permit. Nationals of ECOWAS member states and other countries with which the Government of Ghana has specific bilateral agreements are exempted.
