The Executive Committee held its annual meeting, hosted by the Republic of Korea, on October 17, 2014. It was preceded by a Steering Group meeting on October 16, 2014. The meeting included a review of the progress made in the past year by the IFNEC Steering Group and Working Groups on Infrastructure Development (IDWG) and Reliable Nuclear Fuel Services (RNFSWG), and provided guidance on future activities and priorities. The Committee discussed the outcomes and recommended actions from the RNFSWG Workshop on Developing Options and Pathways for Disposal of Spent Nuclear Fuel and High-Level Waste, as well as the Infrastructure Development Working Group meeting held in Romania in May; a Special Session on nuclear financing including model approaches; and the IFNEC Small Modular Reactor Workshop held in Jordan resulting in key findings and optional deployment model.
